A WORD FROM THE BISHOP’S WARDEN Dear All,
As I write this on Memorial Day, my prayer is that all who travel will arrive safely. At this beginning of the JUNE 5 summer vacation season I pray that all of the St. Holy Eucharist: The Rev. Larry Lewis Paul's family will have a wonderful and safe vacation. Vacations, whenever they are taken, can Lay Reader: John Tarver be a time to recharge, relax, and reflect. So enjoy, we'll miss you while you are gone, but don't take a JUNE 12 summer long vacation from church! Holy Eucharist: The Rev. Canon Bill Sometimes the problems of the world can seem so Fasel overwhelming that we are paralyzed by the size of Lay Reader: Kate French the problem. Where to begin? Instead of worrying about the where, just begin! The prospect of world hunger, or even hunger in Clinton, seems JUNE 19 insurmountable. So instead of worrying about BISHOP’S COMMMITTEE & where to begin, St. Paul's has begun! Our garden POT LUCK in all likelihood will not end hunger for anyone but is Holy Eucharist: The Rev. Mark Jeske a start for some in need in our community to receive Lay Reader: Don Kiefer healthy, fresh food. It utilizes the one asset we have in relative abundance, land space, and puts it to JUNE 26 good use. Also, personally I have found renewed enthusiasm for gardening from my work in the Morning Prayer church garden, so much so that I have planted Lay Reader: Sam French approximately 700 feet rows of sweet corn at home. I plan on enjoying the goodness of fresh sweet corn and sharing my excess. So however small, we at St. Paul's are doing something to help the less ALTAR GUILD: Barbara Crossley fortunate in our community. Perhaps this will inspire other ideas for us to pursue.
