June  11  -­‐June  15,  9:00  am  –  3:00  pm   Tuition  –  $325  ($295  if  registered  by  May  1)     •  Small  groups,  individual  attention,  with  a  coach-­‐player  ratio   of  1:10  or  fewer   •  Instruction  in  the  fundamentals  of  offense  and  defense   •  Demonstration  and  practice  in  passing,  shooting,  dribbling   and  rebounding  techniques   •  Informative  lectures  and  films   •  Practice  and  evaluation  during  games    

This  is  a  week  of  total  immersion  in  basketball.  Each  camper   will  receive  a  t-­‐shirt,  report  card  and  a  summer  work  out  sheet   to  maintain  progress  after  camp.  A  locker  room  is  available   with  showers.  We’ll  have  snacks  available  for  purchase.  The   gym  will  open  at  8:30  am  and  close  at  3:30  pm.        

    Guy  Carcillo  has  been  coaching  basketball  from  elementary   school  to  the  college  level  for  more  than  30  years.  He  has   coached  at  Midland  College,  Catholic  University,  St.  Mary’s   College  and  Marymount.  During  his  three-­‐year  tenure  at  St   Mary’s,  the  team  was  ranked  as  the  number  1  defensive  team   in  the  conference  every  year.  He  has  been  voted  coach  of  the   year  13  times.       JD  Sand  is  entering  his  fifth  summer  as  a  Co-­‐Director  of  Burke   Basketball  Camp.  He  started  at  Guy  Carcillo  Camp  when  he   was  18.  He  since  has  coached  high  school  for  six  years,   including  five  with  Burke  as  a  head  basketball  coach.  JD  spent   2008  as  an  assistant  coach  with  the  Southern  Connecticut   State  University  Women’s  basketball  team  (National   Champions  2007).  He  has  worked  as  a  camp  counselor  at   Georgetown  and  George  Mason  basketball  camps.  JD  also  has   experience  interning  for  the  NBA’s  Washington  Wizards.
