Summer Programs 2017 2017 2017 Jump Start Pre-Calculus – Preview Pre-AP Pre-Calculus This summer, Mathnasium of North Austin will be hosting Jump Start Pre-Calculus for the very first time. Intended to give students a brief overview of the topics that will be covered in their Pre-Calculus course this fall, Jump Start Pre-Calculus will cover the following topics:
Polynomial Functions of Higher Degree, Polynomial and Synthetic Division, Zeros of Polynomial Functions Radian/Degree Measure, Trig Functions Graphs of Sine/Cosine Functions, Inverse Trig Functions, bearings Trig Identities, Solving Trig Equations, Sum/Difference Formulas Multiple-Angle and Product-to-Sum formulas, Law of Sines, Law of Cosines Exponential and Logarithmic Review, Vectors and Dot Products, Partial Fractions Sequences/Series, Binomial Theorem, Limits at infinity Conics, Ellipses, Hyperbolas, Parametric Equations
This course is meant for students who have completed Algebra II and plan on taking PreCalculus in the fall of 2017. All students will receive 90 minutes of lecture per class in order to cover the above-mentioned topics as well as an optional study hall period for an additional 90 minutes each week. Homework assignments are a mandatory part of this course; however, students are encouraged to bring that homework into our Mathnasium Center once a week for homework help. Jump Start Pre-Calculus meets Mondays at 7:00 from June 20nd - August 15th. classes the week of July 4th. Price is $359
