Children’s Ministries Available The following ministries are available during AM worship for those with children: Infant I Nursery (Ages Birth-17 mos.) – Room # 106 Toddlers Class (Ages 18-35 mos.) – Room # 104 PreK-K (Children I) (3-5 yrs) – Room # 103 Junior Church (Ages 6-10) – Room # 101 (*Children ages 6 – 10 meet in the sanctuary for our Worship Gathering and are dismissed early for Junior Church.)

Life Line Screening – THIS Wednesday Life Line Screening will be using our facilities this Wednesday. Information on the screenings to be offered is included on the pink sheet available on the table in the Resource Center. You may register for the screenings by calling 1-800-324-9458 or visiting www.helpinghandsforhealth.com. Not only will you receive $10 off any package priced $139 and up, but our church will ALSO receive a $10 donation for any member that signs up through this number and attends the screening! Meals For Bro. J.R. & Agnes Johnson If you would like to help with some meals for Bro. & Sis. Johnson, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. Thanks to everyone who has already helped with providing meals! Baby Shower for Deanna & Chris Charles Mark your calendar for Sun., Sept. 7, following the PM service, for a Baby Shower for Deanna & Chris Charles and their baby girl (due in Oct.). They are registered at Bye Bye Baby and Walmart. Danville Nar-Anon The following announcement was received this week by e-mail. It is also posted on the bulletin board. Please share with your family and friends so that those who need this support group may hear about it.
As you are aware, there is a rampant drug abuse problem in our community - one that is heart-wrenching and ripping families apart. Danville now has its own chapter of Nar-Anon, a confidential, spiritual family support group whose members have a loved one struggling with drug addiction. People who attend the group find love, understanding, hope, and new ways to deal with problems from others who are going through the same experiences. Meetings are held Tuesday night from 6 to 7 pm at the Recovery Roadhouse in the Greenleaf Shopping Center beside State Farm. We encourage anyone who loves someone struggling with a drug addiction to come and join us. If you are blessed not to be in that situation, chances are you know someone who is. If so, please encourage that person to reach out for the help and support that Nar-Anon can provide. If you have any questions about the group you can email [email protected]. You may also contact Kelley at 859-326-1766. Used Shoe Drive Our Ladies’ Ministry is still collecting used shoes. Until a pickup is scheduled, we can still take these. Thanks for all your help in bringing in more than 1,600 pairs!!
First Church of God Yard Sale Items Student Ministries are continuing to collect yard sale items in preparation for the next 127 Yard Sale. If you have items you would like to donate, you may bring these in and they will be stored.
