“Better is the Little of the Righteous” April 2, 2017 Dr. Roger Ball [email protected] Have you ever said, “No more! I give up … I’m tired of being kind and offering a helping hand. I give and help and I don’t see a lot of good. No more! People are selfish and continue to make bad decisions.” What should we do? Give up or ask God for His guidance? Wise people find hope in Psalm 37:16-22 not in the wisdom of man. Psalm 37:16 - Better is the little of the righteous Than the abundance of many wicked.
Psalm 37:17 - For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the LORD sustains the righteous. Psalm 37:18 - The LORD knows the days of the blameless, And their inheritance will be forever. Psalm 37:19 - They will not be ashamed in the time of evil, And in the days of famine they will have abundance. Psalm 37:20 - But the wicked will perish; And the enemies of the LORD will be like the glory of the pastures, They vanish—like smoke they vanish away. Psalm 37:21 - The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives. Psalm 37:22 - For those blessed by Him will inherit the land, But those cursed by Him will be cut off.
