Supply List Grand Illusion

Grand Illusion 6 hour class taught by: Debbie Kalenty Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor.

Why is it called ‘Grand Illusion’? Because the ‘block’ isn’t what you think it is—smile! This is an intermediate level class using three Studio 180 Design tools: Square Squared, Tucker Trimmer 1, and Corner Pop.

Please be sure there is good contrast between your fabrics.

PLEASE CUT BEFORE COMING TO CLASS (cutting instructions on next page). Basic quilting supplies: Pins, marking pencil, rotary cutter, cutting mat, thread, etc.

Required tools: (will be available for purchase before class): Studio 180 Designs Square Squared (original size); Tucker Trimmer 1, and Corner Pop tools.; “Grand Illusion” pattern (each person much have pattern / no copies or sharing allowed for copy right reasons).

Please read CAREFULLY. It is very important to cut the CORRECT FABRIC IN THE CORRECT SIZES. “Diamond Square” also known as “Square Squared” or “Square in a Square” Unit (Separate and MARK plastic bags)

The remainder of the quilt will be cut after completing the center of the quilt Cut as per pattern directions…HOWEVER, MEASURE YOUR BLOCKS before cutting the Pieced Border Rail lengths (pattern reads 15-1/2; yours may differ)
