The TTC is a one-year graduate apprenticeship program at the Shady Hill School (pre-k-8) that leads to a Massachusetts teaching license and, if desired, a master’s degree from Lesley University. Each apprentice teacher partners with an experienced teacher, shares in the daily work of the classroom, and participates in all aspects of teaching. Additionally, apprentices attend approximately eight hours of graduate courses each week. Graduates of the TTC are well prepared to teach in a variety of public and independent schools. Part III.
