Santa Ynez A.Y.S.O. Region 180’s 2017 Winter Classic Team Invitation Coaches! Region 180 is pleased to invite your team to you to the 2017 Santa Ynez Winter Classic an AYSO Invitational Tournament
Scope:
AYSO Invitational – open to AYSO teams from all Sections.
When:
Saturday & Sunday, January 27-29th 2017
Where:
The tournament will be held at Santa Ynez Elementary, SYV High and Dunn Schools, California. No pets or BBQ;s are allowed at fields.
Who:
AYSO teams: Boys & Girls, Divisions U-14, U-12, & U-10. Age determination date: July 31st 2016. Maximum of 15 players per team for U-14. Maximum of 12 players per team for U-12 and a maximum of 10 players per team for U-10. Each participant player must have played on an AYSO team during the 2016 regular season. This is a 3 quarter rule tournament. No player may play four (4) quarters of a game unless all players play at least three (3) quarters of that game. The players sitting out two (2) quarters shall not be the same until all players listed on the game card have sat out two (2) quarters.
Check in:
There will be a Friday night check in available in Solvang at a location to be determined. We will contact you with the exact location and time. Any teams not checking in on Friday will need to be checked in at the site of their first match on Saturday at least one hour prior to the start time of their match. Coaches will need the following items, medical release form for all players on the roster, a eAYSO-roster signed by their Regional Commissioner and 5 game cards completed and listed in the player’s numerical order.
What:
Pool play tournament. Each team will be given 3 games in pool play where pools allow. The top teams will advance to the medal round on Sunday afternoon. All games will be as follows: (U-10 24 min halves) (U-12/14, 25 min halves)
Why:
The Santa Ynez Winter Classic Tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser by Region 180 to raise funds for Field Development, Equipment, & Maintenance, and to provide Scholarship funds for Region 180.
Awards:
All players and 2 coaches per team will receive a tournament pin. All players on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place teams will receive a trophy or medal.
Entry Fee,
U-14 $650 per team plus $300.00 referee deposit. Total $950.00 fee and referee deposit U-12 $650 per team plus $300.00 referee deposit. Total $950.00 fee and referee deposit. U-10 $600 per team plus $300.00 referee deposit. Total $900.00 fee and referee deposit
Refunds:
A full refund will be issued if tournament is canceled and cannot be rescheduled. If a team withdraws 30 or more days before the tournament, a full refund is given. Within 30 days of the tournament, no refund is provided unless a replacement team is found.
Referee Fee, Refunds:
$300, refundable within 14 days of the tournament, if referee assignments have been completed. Each team is asked to provide a qualified 3-person referee team to cover 3 games during the tournament. Partial refunds will be given based upon the number of game slots completed.
All Referees Must be in an Official Full Referee Uniform No Exceptions will be tolerated. Rules:

Acceptance:
The application deadline is 30 days prior to tournament. All teams will be notified within 48 hrs. of the application deadline or receipt of application (whichever is latest) as to their status. Teams that are not accepted will be given the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed on the waiting list. Applications will be accepted in the order they are received.
How:
Team entry applications and all necessary forms are available on the tournament website. Please send 1 Region check that covers both the Entry and Referee fees, along with the tournament application, referee information form, and team eAYSO-roster to the Tournament Director address below. Regional Commissioner must sign application and team roster. Appropriate referee administrator must sign referee information form. See referee form for details.
