Housekeeping: We need a reminder about some of the basic rules we have a FCS. There is no food allowed in the gym area or in the classrooms. All food must be eaten in the cafeteria or in the hallway; please make sure you clean up after yourselves. We are going to start a new check-out process with our Children’s Ministry teachers so we need parents pick up their kids when service ends. All classrooms will be locked up when Children’s Ministry ends; there should be no one in any of the classes unless there is direct adult supervision the whole time and you get permission from a staff person. Parents, you also need to make sure that you are keeping an eye on your children during fellowship and even during meetings. We cannot have kids wandering the hallway opposite our main hallway (any unlit hallway is off limits) nor in any classrooms. Let’s all do our part so we can continue to keep our good relationship with FCS.
Youth & Family Ministry [Pre-Teens: 5th & 6th graders, MS Teens: 7th & 8th graders, HS Teens: 9th-12th graders] May 6th: Disciples Prom in VA Beach; Teen Devo, FCS 7-9 pm May 13th: Teens Paint Kickball Devo at FCS from 4-6 pm. Please make sure you wear clothes that can get dirty and wet!; Pre-Teen SkyZone Event @ Skyzone Trampoline Park Fredericksburg from 10-12 pm May 20th PTP Devo has been cancelled due to the church-wide Missions yard sale the same day.
Missions Yard Sale 2017 Saturday, May 20th from 6-1 pm at FCS. This is a great opportunity to clear out your garage, basement, and attic for a great cause — all of the proceeds will support our annual missions contribution. Details coming soon! Our missions goal this year is $100,000 — that’s 10x our weekly contribution goal. Our collection will support the following: $35,000 for Indonesia (church plantings, orphanage, and Indo/PVC connection); $30,000 for local community service projects; $20,000 for Youth Internship; $15,000 for ACR support (Roanoke & Blue Ridge Churches, ACR Missions Society, and ACR ministry training). Our collection day will be Sunday, June 25th.
