“What’s Next Bowlers”

See: http://www.aktionclub.org/home.aspx 15 JULY 2017 ATTENDEES: Included 19 members and about 20 caregivers including: Officers: Pres - Sean McKibben and Vice Pres Jeffrey Rohrback. KCK: Sponsor Kiwanis Club of Kirkland (KCK) Bowling Coordinator - Darcie Cailao & Aktion Club Advisor – Matt Gregory (scribe). SERVICE: 3 hours. This month we made thank you cards for Veterans at WA Soldiers Home in Orting, WA: http://www.dva.wa.gov/veteran-homes/washington-soldiers-home-orting. Nick marched in parade with KCK float for USA Independence Day July 4th!

Thank you for serving our country! SOCIAL: 2 hours – Bowling at TechCity Bowl, Kirkland and dining at nearby Dairy Queen at Bridle Trails, Kirkland, plus social media time. MEETING: 1 hour - During lunch at Dairy Queen with preparation conversations. Birthdays : July – Ryan Johnson on 27 on the 7th, Sean McKibben 29 on the 16th and Nathan Schulte 36 on the 23rd. Bowling Costs : Darcie will be sending an email about Tech City Bowl contract obligations for lane reservations. Project : In Aug, we will fill back to school back packs with supplies, all furnished by the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland, for local needy youth. WHAT’S NEXT? Aug 19th, 2017 (3rd Saturday of Month) 11:45 AM at TechCity Bowl for one-hour bowling 12:15 to 1:15 PM and then lunch meeting at adjacent Dairy Queen 1:30 to 2:15pm.
