The Collier Trophy 2017 Conditions of Entry View Hill Pony Club is pleased to invite entries from all Branches and Clubs of the Christchurch, North Canterbury and Hurunui Clubs to send teams to compete in this year’ s Collier Trophy. Date:

Collier Trophy is a team one day event competition. It was started nearly 30 years ago by the Springston Pony Club and was initially for branches from the Christchurch Club. Over recent years the invitation has been extended to include North Canterbury branches and Hurunui Branches. The Winner of the event is to host the following year. Current rules/information is available on the Springston Pony Club website: http://www.springstonponyclub.org.nz/collier-trophy/ These should be read in conjunction with the conditions of entry. Form of the Competition Teams of six members (two in each age group) compete in Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping in the form of a One Day Event. The inal team score is determined by adding the best score from each class plus the next best score. Teams of four or ive may be entered as long as there is at least one rider in each age group. The Horse Mastership Trophy (donated by Ferrymead Pony Club in 2000) will be judged throughout the day and will include areas such as turnout, team support and attitude, care of the horses and cleanliness of the loat area. Teams are automatically entered for this. Classes: 1. 2. 3.

16 years and under— NZPCA 80cm 14 years and under— NZPCA 65cm 12 years and under—NZPCA 65cm (with lesser degree of dificulty than Class 2)

Dressage Test (all classes): NZPCA Junior Riding Test K 2001 The team will ride the dressage test at the same time. Dress:Pony Club Uniform in all Phases.

Conditions of Entry (Updated 2016) 1. Any combination that has completed live at Springston Trophy in any year, or any combination which has ever competed at NZPCA 95 cm or above in eventing at close of entry are not eligible to enter Collier Trophy. 2. The NZPCA General Regulations Rule 15.4 Rally Attendance for Examinations and Competitions: applies to all Combinations. Dispensation from these rules will be at the discretion of the District Commissioner who may consult with the Collier Guardians to ensure the safety of the rider and mount (amended 06/05/10) will be at the discretion of the organising committee. 3. Lending/Borrowing Riders: Branches may supply/borrow riders to/from another branch to make a team. This should be done through the Event Secretary who holds a list of eligible riders. Branches may email their request with all relevant rider details and branch contacts. 4. Age is at close of entry. Riders may ride in an older age group but not a younger age group. 5. NZPCA Concussion Rules is applicable at this event. 6. Dressage tests may not be called. Whips may be carried— 100cm for ponies and 120cm long for hacks. Spurs as per the test. 7. Riders eliminated on the cross country may not continue. 8. The NZPCA Code of Conduct Covers all Participants, Coaches, Managers and Spectators at this Event 9. Protests must be submitted within 30 minutes of results being posted. 10. Back numbers not returned on the day will be charged $40. 11. Please take all rubbish with you when you leave, including manure and hay. ABSOLUTELY No Dogs! 12. The Team Manager’s signature on the entry form veriies that all combinations entered are eligible for the competition under the rules and they (the Manager) has read and understand the rules of the competition. 13. Entries are to be made through Equestrian Entries, www.equestrianentries.co.nz by the Team Manager. Late entries will not be accepted. Please ensure a copy of the signed oficial entry form including the name, phone number and email of the Team Manager is sent separately to the Event Secretary. Each team entered is required to supply two fence stewards/ helpers whose names and contact details must be included on the oficial entry form. It is the responsibility of each Team Manager to ensure that fence stewards are on time for the judges brieing and helpers report on time. No team may be entered without two fence stewards /helpers per team.
