Thimble Pleasures Class Supply List Class: Marvelous Mini 8" Tuffet Pre-requisites: None Skill Level: Beginners and beyond. Instructor: Sharyn Cole Class Policies: We stock the items necessary for your classes and we extend a special 10% discount to all our students on class supplies and materials purchased at Thimble Pleasures. Our classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your payment reserves your space. You may cancel for a full refund 7 days prior to the class. Registration cancellations within 7 days prior will be forfeit. This policy is non-negotiable. In the event of low enrollment or teacher cancellation, you will be eligible to a full refund of your class fees. Supplies Needed:
Tuffet Source 8” Marvelous Mini Kit ™ (Available from the instructor for $60 plus sales tax) Nine, 1 ¼” x 42” strips of fabrics that play well together (Sew these together prior to class) 3” – 4” square of fabric to cover the button 10” square of fabric to cover the bottom Rotary cutter with a NEW blade Cutting Mat Straight pins Thread that coordinates with most of your fabrics. Sewing machine in good working order Couching foot or Open-toe foot Size 90/14 needles for your machine On the day of class, the instructor will have available for purchase: the Tuffet Source Marvelous Mini ™ Kit which includes an 8” round upholstery foam, a round furniture-grade plywood base with installed tee nuts, 1 3/4” button form, Dacron upholstery batting, gathering cords and unfinished knob feet with hanger bolts for a total of $60 plus sales tax. Cash, check or credit cards are accepted. The instructor will provide all tools necessary to complete your Tuffet.
Prior to class, the student must do the following: Cut nine, 1 ¼” strips x 42” of fabric Sew the fabric strips together on the long side to make a piece of fabric that measures approximately 7 ¼” x 42”. Press all the seams in one direction.
Basic Class Kit including: Seam ripper, pins, marking tool (pens, chalk, pencils), scissors, sewing machine in good working order and appropriate accessories, rotary cutter, rotary ruler, and rotary cutting mat) Don’t forget your power cord and foot control and extra bobbins for your machine. You might want to bring note taking materials too. We do not have extra supplies available in your classroom.
