TO PLACE A CALL: Lift handset - OR - simply begin dialing. Internal Call: Dial the extension number of location you are calling. Outside Call: Pick up handset and dial 9 + the telephone number. TRANSFER (CNF/TRN): To transfer a call to another extension: While connected to the caller, press CNF/TRN button, dial extension number you are transferring call to, announce call, hang up. (Do not press the button.) TRANSFER DIRECTLY TO VM: With a caller on the line, press the TX TO VM button, enter the mailbox number, press the # key & hang up immediately. You have sent the caller directly to the person’s voicemail. PARK: While you are on an active call, press the PARK key and dial the extension number of the person. The call is now parked on that extension. *To retrieve from your phone, press the PARK button. *To retrieve from any other phone, press the PARK button and dial your extension number. PAGING: Make a one-way broadcast announcement to phones that receive paging. To access paging with code: Lift the handset and dial the appropriate code. All page - #30 (used only for emergencies). Elementary School - #3101. Junior/Senior High School - #3102. Administrative Office - #3103. Make announcement and then hang up. QUICK MESSAGE: This will allow you to leave a message in someone’s mailbox without ringing their phone. To access: Dial 7 + the mailbox number. Wait for the tone and leave a message.
To access your Mailbox: From your own phone when your message waiting light is flashing: a. Press your flashing key. Follow prompt. From your own phone when your message waiting light is not flashing: a. Dial the internal extension number for voice mail 6000. Follow prompt. From another phone within the facility that has a voice mailbox: a. Dial the internal extension number for voice mail 6000. b. When voicemail answers, press #. Follow prompts. From outside the facility: a. Dial into voice mail. b. When voicemail answers, press #. Follow prompts. Checking Messages, Sending Messages, Etc.: Select from options to the right for voice mail management.
