Page 1 Cutting Instructions Please note: all strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge. From the Multi Panel (A), cut: • Fussy cut (1) panel ¼” outside the checkerboard, centered on the boat. • Fussy cut (8) panels, approximately 4 ½” square, each centered on an animal. From the Yellow Chevron (B), cut: • (2) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Note: Measure the length of the panel and cut strips to match. • (2) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Note: Measure panel with side borders and cut strips to length. • (2) 2” x width of fabric (WOF) strips. Sub-cut the strips into (16) 2” x 4 ½” strips. • (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (16) 2” x 7 ½” strips. From the Green Chevron (C), cut: • (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end to end with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 1 ½” x 48 ½” strips. • (2) 1 ½” x 38 ½” strips. From the Purple Zebras (D), cut: • (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (5) 6 ½” squares. From the Blue Fox (E), cut: • (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (6) 6 ½” squares. From the Green Monkey (F), cut: • (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strips into (5) 6 ½” squares. • (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding. From the Blue Tossed Animals (G), cut: • (6) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end to end with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 3 ½” x 50 ½” strips and (2) 3 ½” x 44 ½” strips. From the Multi Animal Patch (Backing), cut: • (2) 52” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 52” x 64” back.

Sewing Instructions 1. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 30 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 22 ½” x 30 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 26 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 24 ½” x 36 ½” to complete the center block.

4. Sew (2) Animal Blocks, (2) 6 ½” Fabric D squares, (1) 6 ½” Fabric E square and (1) 6 ½” Fabric F square together to make (1) strip. Sew this strip to the top of the center block.

Quilt Top Assembly Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling. 3. Sew (2) 6 ½” Fabric E squares, (2) Animal Blocks, (1) 6 ½” Fabric F square and (1) 6 ½” Fabric D square together to make one strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to each side of the center block.

E 2. Sew (1) 2” x 4 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 4 ½” Fabric A square. Sew (1) 2” x 7 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric B square. Trim the block to 6 ½” square to complete (1) Animal Block. Repeat to make (8) Animal Blocks total.

Quilt Layout 5. Sew (2) Animal Blocks, (2) 6 ½” Fabric F squares, (1) 6 ½” Fabric E square and (1) 6 ½” Fabric D square together to make (1) strip. Sew this strip to the bottom of the center block to make the quilt top. 6. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 48 ½” Fabric C strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 38 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 7. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 50 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 44 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 8. Layer and quilt as desired. 9. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric F strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press. 10. Bind as desired.
