ACADEMY 12 AGE GROUP EXPANSION The Capital Area RailHawks-CASL Development Academy will expand with (3) additional U12 US Soccer Development Academy Programs in the Fall of 2016.

Each U12 Program will consist of 22-26 players and will broken down each match weekend into two teams of 11-13 players that will compete in the 9v9 format for US Soccer Development Academy Games. 2

CAPITAL AREA RAILHAWKS – CASL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY WHY HAS US SOCCER AWARDED THESE ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS?

US SOCCER YOUTH NATIONAL TEAM PLAYER PRODUCTS • Since 2007, 30 players called into YNT Camps – specifically 19 at the U14 age group. • Recent U14 USBNT Camp in Sep. 2015 had (4) Capital Are RailHawks Academy players invited, tied for most in the country.

US SOCCER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY STANDARDS • Will provide more opportunity to deserving players from multiple regions and backgrounds with a defined player development pathway within the USSDA. • Programs will meet quality standards of staff, facilities, training curriculum, and other areas – while providing logistically intelligent expansion of the U12 Program.

CAPITAL AREA RAILHAWKS – CASL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY U12 DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY DIVISION PLAYING DIVISION The Capital Area RailHawks U12 Development Academy Programs will compete within the Carolina Division.

ANNUAL MATCH CALENDAR There will be a total of 28 games in the Development Academy League, as well as a US Soccer Development Academy Futsal Event.

The South Division Program will primarily service players who reside south of Hwy. 70, as it extends through Raleigh. This includes Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs, FuquayVarina, and other communities. 9

CAPITAL AREA RAILHAWKS – CASL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY WHAT IS THE DEL SOL PROGRAM? CASL DEL SOL PROGRAM The CASL Del Sol Program was established in 2008 to afford talented, low-economic Hispanic youth soccer players the opportunity to play at the highest level of soccer within CASL. In order for players to remain within the program, the players must maintain quality grades and activity in the community. The goal is for these players to go to college and improve theirs and their families lives.

CAPITAL AREA RAILHAWKS – CASL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY CASL DEL SOL – PROGRAM PLAYER PRODUCTS Since the inception of the CASL Del Sol Program, many underprivileged Hispanic youths have successfully moved through the Academy Program, graduated high school, and continued onto college.

CAPITAL AREA RAILHAWKS – CASL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY ACADEMY TRAINING AND MATCH FIELDS AT WRAL SOCCER CENTER

All Capital Area RailHawks Academy Trainings and Matches at WRAL Soccer Center will take place on the synthetic turf stadium field. The field is located adjacent to the Radford Building at WRAL - which house our changing rooms, staff and player meeting rooms, film review room, athletic fitness center, and athletic training room. WRAL will be the home for the U12 Capital Area RailHawks – North and U12 Capital Area RailHawks Del Sol Academy Programs, starting in the Fall of 2016. 14

CAPITAL AREA RAILHAWKS – CASL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY ACADEMY TRAINING AND MATCH FIELDS AT THOMAS BROOKS PARK

Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, NC has 2 synthetic turf fields that will be used for trainings and games. There is also basketball courts for multi-sport curriculum. Thomas Brooks will be the home for the U12 Capital Area RailHawks – South Program starting in the Fall of 2016. 15

Futsal training will be implemented throughout the year to provide additional opportunities for player development. Capital Area RailHawks Academy Teams will be placed into a rotating Champions League format to ensure competitiveness and enjoyment. Free play opportunities will be mixed amongst age groups throughout the year with no coaching. All (3) U12 US Soccer Development Academy Programs will have the benefit of using these facilities. 16
