Update November ODE
November Express Event & Derby 12th & 13th November 2016 Event held at Woodhill Sands James Mackie Road, Woodhill Auckland Important Information: Due to part of the course to wet this spring Auckland Equestrian Sports have changed their schedule for the November Horse Trial. The Event will now run as an Express Event (Saturday 65cm 80cm) and Sunday 95cm, 1.05cm, 1* and 1* plus) And we will also feature Derby classes on the Saturday for 95cm, 105m, and 1.15m please see attached schedule. The express event will still offer substantial cross country with over 1.5km of track for the 95, 105, 1* and 1* plus and at least 1km for 80cm and 65cm. You will head straight into your cross country off your Show Jumping round. Dressage tests are as advertised. Entry fees will be reduced to reflect the eventing levy price difference, however prizes and prize money offered will remain the same. Horses do not need registration, riders must have at least community membership with ESNZ (free). We will still require jump judges and other helpers for this event!

Please let us know with entry if you are available to help . As with every trial we will need more than 80 volunteers to help the event run smoothly - No help = no event please let us know what jobs you can help with, with entry. Local riders who cannot help at event are expected to help week prior with dressing cross country and provide a plate for the helpers table. SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR RESTRICTED CLASSES:
Amateur Classes :Competitor must own, part-own or lease the horse and can not have been placed in level higher in the previous 2 seasons. Age classes refer to age on day of event.
Prize Giving: All Classes can collect their prizes from the prize giving area 30 minutes after final result posted.
Riders receiving covers may need to present with horse in hand, but will be advised.
ENTRIES: By making an entry riders are liable for all fees, even if they do not attend the event. If you subsequently scratch, the refund policy will apply. See below:
SCRATCHINGS/ REFUNDS: Scratching’s after Close of entry are excepted up to 48hours prior to the event, riders can apply for an 80% refund of entry fee only This request for refund must be done in writing. All Ground fees, Admin, yarding and accommodation are non refundable. After close of entry all horses entered will be expected to pay if they run or not. MEMBERSHIP: All riders must be FULL members of ESNZ or community members, horses do not need to be registered UNLESS competing in classes 1 and 2. Article 610 ESNZ Eventing Rules – Disclaimer of Liability. Neither the Organiser of this Event nor ESNZ nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, vehicles, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract, or in any other way whatsoever. The committee reserves the right to limit numbers, cancel or change a class or make any other change in terms of Article 611 ESNZ Eventing Rules. Competitors must comply with the requirements of Article 634 Medical Information and provide telephone number of accompanying person/next of kin for event Secretary, either by having entered it on your Equestrian Entries Profile or notifying the office when picking up Back Number.
