Student Comments ➢ Sorry for this but we need some of the blocks removed such as you tube and other resources used in school work that are not available to use as students ➢ I really like the Chromebook because it has made my life so much easier but it also made it hard. One reason is that when you (sic) finish your homework and your teachers wants you to print it out it's kind of difficult because you can't print it out as school besides going on to another computer but that may become a little annoying for some people.
Student Comments ➢ I feel like there is only one thing that needs to be changed about the program. Teachers should have a way to familiarize themselves with the Chromebook (let them have one). ➢ I love my chromebook you can’t take it away ➢ Its a great tool I love learning with it. ➢ I think the restrictions on the use of certain websites is too great (meaning too many restrictions).
Parent Comments ➢ Ease up on the restrictions ➢ There are a lot of websites that are blocked ➢ I think it is a great idea and am very happy my children are able to participate in this pilot! ➢ Availability of the Chromebook is a (sic) good opportunity for efficient learning and teaching, to be in tandem with technological requirement, makes students more confident and successful. It is highly appreciated that this opportunity exists and may reach all students in Pelham… Thanks.
Teacher Comments ➢ Teachers would like Chromebooks to prepare lessons since there are differences between plans and what students see ➢ Greater access to apps ➢ Do students really produce the same quality of work
Teacher Comments ➢ Students show teachers how to use Chromebooks at times ➢ Students have been tolerant of things not working perfectly ➢ I like the ease of administration with the Chromebooks ➢ Less paperwork, more easily scored student work
Teacher Comments ➢ Teachers are rethinking some instructional activities (Do-Now’s) to make use of Chromebook ➢ Google facilitates jigsaw activities and collaborative lab work- easier sharing of data ➢ Saves paper!
Update on Protection Coverage ➢ Approximate Policies Purchased ➢ Process
Looking Forward ➢ Cloud Print Configuration ➢ Pelham App Domain ➢ Enhanced Reporting ➢ Wireless Changes ➢ Continued training
