Agenda • 2011 Schedule ○ California Cup @ UCLA - Feb 19-20th (Presidents Weekend) Amy Brown and Mark Otten organizing tournament / coordinating with UCLA Already talked to UCLA NorCal Invited Teams (Top 4): UC Davis, Stanford, Cal, CCSF ○ USTA National Campus Championships, April 7-9th Sign up for teams at large: Jan 18-20 ○ Teams Expressing Interest in hosting with suggested dates/time frame Berkeley □ Mid-march (Possibly March 12-13) UC Davis □ April 23-24 or April 30-May 1 □ May 28-29 Stanford □ Late April or May (depending on UC Davis' schedule) Saint Mary's □ Unknown CCSF □ Spring? USF □ Unknown
• SAP Open Fundraising ○ SAP is February 7-13 ○ USTA NorCal plans to do the Fast Serve booth again as a fundraiser. Details to come. • Feedback from USTA NorCal Campus Sectional ○ Successful event • USTA NorCal Tennis On Campus Sectional Event , November 5-6, 2011 ○ Suggestions/Improvements Clearer seeding method for bracket and pool play Capping total number of teams and/or teams per school. Explore option of providing sandwiches instead of pizza □ If cheaper, can possibly provide for both Saturday and Sunday Jamba Juice? • Hilary to renew membership fundraising opportunity ○ USTA NorCal has been exploring with the possibility of requiring USTA membership for the Tennis On Campus program since TOC receives funding from USTA NorCal and program is currently free for all participants. If we make a push to have current TOC program members to sign up for a USTA membership, we could try to prevent the USTA from mandating a membership to participate in TOC. • Next Committee Meeting ○ January 5, 2011 @ 7pm ○ Will decide coming dates/times to accommodate new class schedules.
