• Receive training, drills and terminology from national trainers Frank Adams and Darren Kindred. • It’s an interactive workshop so wear your tennis gear. • All attendees will receive a wheelchair manual and dinner provided by the Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation. • Put your new skills to work at the UNI adaptive sports clinic Saturday, June 18th from 9-11 a.m. at the UNI tennis courts.

FRANK ADAMS
Frank is a PTR teaching Professional at the Highlands Ranch Tennis Pavilion in Highlands Ranch, Colorado as well as a coach for the Intermountain Tennis Association 14 and under Junior Zone Team. He is a trainer for both the USTA Recreational Workshops and QuickStart Tennis Training Workshops. Frank has been named the USTA Magazine Grass Roots Hero, twice the Colorado Wheelchair Tennis Foundation Pro of the Year, Minority Coach’s Workshop Arthur Ashe Jr. Award recipient, and the Professional Tennis Registry Colorado Professional of the Year.
DARREN KINDRED
PTR certified, Darren has been a teaching professional since 1990. He is a graduate of the A.A.S. Tennis Technology program at Tyler Junior College in Texas. Darren has served since 2005 as the Director of Tennis for Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund (OPAF) and the nationally recognized First Volley Adaptive Tennis Clinics. He travels nationally and internationally to conduct adaptive tennis clinics for the organization and to train additional instructors. In 2009 Darren was recognized as the Outstanding Young Alumni for Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas for his service to the physically challenged community through tennis.
