Preparation Advanced Preparation. Wash and prepare vegetables and dry with kitchen paper. Preheat deep fat fryer to 180ºc / 375ºF. Method. 1. Decant the cream cheese into a bowl and gradually add the dressing until smooth. Cover and place in fridge till required. 2. To make the batter, sift the flour and cornflour into a bowl, add the water a little at a time to form a batter the thickness of double cream.

3. Dip the vegetables into the batter a few at a time and shake to remove excess. Deep fry for 2 -3 minutes till golden brown and crisp. Drain well on kitchen paper. 4. To serve the dish place the vegetables on a plate and place a bowl of dip in the middle of the plate. Handy Hint. Pre mixed batters can be used to save time and the cream cheese could be flavoured with other varieties of HELLMANN'S dressings and herb pastes. Healthy Hint. Instead of deep frying the vegetables roast them in a pre heated oven.
