THE STONEHILL COLLEGE FUND
Volunteer Network Resources The Stonehill College Fund depends on the critical work of class committee volunteers. Contributing both time and resources, these individuals serve as the Fund’s ambassadors. Volunteers take on many roles ranging from directly soliciting classmates to hosting events and providing strategic input for the College. The value of the volunteer network cannot be overstated. As a Stonehill College Fund volunteer you will also have the Office of Development to help manage the fundraising efforts of your class, to work closely with on individual classmate outreach and other fundraising activities. In addition to staff contact, the following information is also available to assist you. Thank you for your efforts. [email protected] FUNDRAISING FOCUS The Stonehill College Fund concentrates on raising current use, unrestricted monies to support the priorities of the College. These funds enable Stonehill to address numerous areas, including academics, student life and financial aid. Stonehill will continue to rely on these funds to be able to seize future opportunities as they arise. As Stonehill seeks to sustain its tradition in serving its mission on every level, unrestricted gifts represent a true commitment to this tradition. WHAT IS REUNION GIVING? Stonehill College maintains a robust tradition of reunion giving. Every five years, classes engage in organized fundraising campaigns driven by reunion milestones. The campaigns strive to inspire high levels of class participation and secure leadership contributions in support of Stonehill’s current priorities. From the 5th reunion and to the 50th and beyond, these efforts build community and form the backbone of the Stonehill College Fund. STAYING CONNECTED EVERY YEAR During non-reunion years, the Fund depends upon consistent support from every class. Alumni annual giving helps to provide steady funding and ensure success in each opportunity and challenge the College may face. The success of the Stonehill College Fund will depend on the united power and teamwork of the entire body of Stonehill alumni.

WHO supports the Stonehill College Fund? Stonehill alumni, parents, and friends support the Stonehill College Fund to honor their Stonehill ties and to help today’s students receive the best Stonehill education possible. WHAT is the Stonehill College Fund? The Stonehill College Fund is Stonehill’s annual fund, the largest single source of fundraising support for the College. With the exception of endowed gifts, all gifts to the College count toward the Stonehill College Fund. While most gifts to the Fund are unrestricted, you can earmark your gift for a scholarship, the Skyhawk Athletic Fund, or any program or activity (such as the H.O.P.E. Program) that is meaningful to you. WHERE does money donated to the Stonehill College Fund go? Unrestricted gifts to the Stonehill College Fund are used wherever the College needs them most, from operational expenses to capital projects. Restricted gifts support the program or scholarship fund for which they are intended. Tuition only covers 84% of the cost of each student’s education. WHY should I contribute to the Stonehill College Fund? Stonehill depends on the generosity of its alumni, parents, and friends in order to meet and exceed our students’ needs in terms of technology, facilities, programming, and scholarships. Stonehill has a long and proud history of “paying it forward” – many alumni were able to attend Stonehill because of the generosity of their predecessors, and in turn support the College so as to open doors for current and future students. As seniors, students can take part in the annual tradition of the senior class gift or Legacy Campaign. This is one of the first steps to take as the senior class transitions from being a student to being alumni. WHEN can I make my gift? The Stonehill College Fund operates on a fiscal year calendar of July 1st – June 30th. Because the fund is annual and the need is constant, you can make your gift any time and it will be equally appreciated.
