Work/Life Balance Jeremy:
Let's get really clear on this concept of work/life balance. First off, I want to ask you, what do you think of, what comes to mind when you think of work/life balance? What just comes up for you, when you think of that idea, this phrase of work/life balance? When you hear it thrown around all the time? What comes up for you about that? I want you to just think about that, and allow that to sit for a second. What comes up for you when you think of the concept of work/life balance? Because here's what I'm going to tell you. Work/life balance is a bunch of BS. It just is. It's a flawed concept by those who just hate work enough to want to balance it out by wishing that they had a life, is really what it is. And if you think about it, it implies, this whole idea, this whole darn concept of work/life balance, implies that you have two separate things that are weighted differently, and you want to balance it out by one or the other. So, there is no work/life balance. There's just life. There's just life, and it's going to reflect your beliefs, language and ways of being. Just think, what comes to mind when you think of work? What comes to mind when you think of work? Typically it's the traditional way of thinking of work. It's a 9-5 job. You commute to it. You come back home. You set your briefcase down on the table, and now life actually can begin. You know, you're finally glad to be home. That's typically what people think of when they think of work. They go somewhere that they really don't want to be, but it's where they've grown up, and society has led them into being, and so, therefore, they need to balance that out. They need to balance all that energy put towards this 9-5 job. They need to balance it out with an actual life, and actual relationships that they genuinely care about, and a family that actually is meaningful to them. Well, guess what? Work should translate to your mission. Your duty to serve others. Your obligation to add value to the marketplace in a meaningful way. Okay? We get to completely disconnect from this traditional conditioning of work being something that is no longer, something that you don't even want to be a part of. It's a 9-5, you have to clock in, clock out. Especially in today's economy. There are way too many opportunities, way too much ability for you to live your purpose, to truly create an income and freedom from doing something you actually love. You can make a living doing what you love, and quite honestly, in fact, it truly is your duty to find that. It is your obligation to discover what it is that's going to allow you to create an income and a living doing what you love. Because it's an obligation to you, your family, your future, because if you don't have that, then, yeah, you're going to have to balance an actual life with the work that you have. And that's not a way to live.

So what I invite you to see is that you can either live really where you are working, where your mission allows you to thrive, you know, or you can just visit this thing called life every once in a while. Studies have shown that a third of your life is spent working, a third of your life is spent outside of work and a third of your life is spent sleeping, on average. So, a good portion of your life is going to be spent, quote, unquote, working, and if you're an entrepreneur or you run a business, again, it's probably even more than that. 50% of your life. So, what I invite you to do, if a third of your life is spent sleeping and the other portion is spent doing work and quote, unquote, life, then what if your 70% outside of sleeping was simply just you living your purpose? And you unleashing your freedom into the world? Actually implementing what you've learning here in Breakthrough Academy and creating the transformational breakthroughs and intentional daily action of living in the flow state on a consistent daily basis, of creating an environment of excellence that allows you to really surround yourself with people and an environment that allows you to thrive. How about uplevelling overall health and vitality, so that you can actually have the energy every single day to create the enthusiasm and the joy from everything that you do? From the things that you work on to the things that you serve to the people you serve, to the people that are in your life, that are most meaningful to you? This is what is going to produce your freedom. But that means your freedom gets to be that 70% of life that you're not sleeping. That 70% of life gets to be completely integrated. This is what I would invite you to really focus on, is work/life integration, where you're creating synergies between the most meaningful areas of your life. You're actually bringing them together in a collective, purposeful act of integration, and you're bringing excellence to your day, by actually bringing people around you that you enjoy being around. You're not spending hours at a job that is not in alignment with you and your calling, so that you feel like you have to clock in and clock out, and then you can finally live your life. So that you are sitting there. That's why people get in this state of, "Oh, it's Monday again. Oh, my gosh," because they know they have to go back to this thing called work, and then Friday time rolls around, they're like, "Oh my gosh, thank you, I'm finally set free." You get to live a life where every day is you being free. Where the difference between Monday and Friday is completely integrated into a synergy of life, that you finally get to unleash, and it enhances your overall joy and health and wealth and passion and wellbeing. This is truly what work and life are truly meant to be. They're meant to be one. It is simply life. Open yourself to that fact. Open yourself to that realization that it is simply life, and all of these things are going to be integrated in in one way or another, and they can either be integrated in a way that creates the joy, that creates the overall wellbeing, or there can be so much dysfunction that you put one in one corner, the other in the other corner, and you just hope and pray that more time is spent in the one that is more joyful for you.

You have the option to choose. I invite you to instill this way of being that creates a work/life integration, so that you are living your calling, following your mission, and guess what? All the people that you care about most are living that and fueling that, and experiencing that, along with you. That's the integration that you get to live. That's the overall balance of your life, and harmony in your life, that you get to create.
