Wednesday Night Summer Camp
Wednesday evenings this summer we will be playing games, doing devotionals and generally enjoying the summer! This program is for high school and college students and is designed to get to know one another better. It begins at 6:45 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. Make sure to bring your friends and wear appropriate clothes and shoes to play outdoor sports. No flip-flops!
MSG Gathering
The MSG dinner and game night will be on Saturday, July 18th at 5 p.m. at Barbara Nicholson’s home. The main dish will be Chicken Tetrazzini. Others are to bring side dishes.
Life Group Leaders
On Sunday, July 19th, we will be beginning a 6-week series of Sunday a.m. meetings for Life Group leaders and those who want to be leaders when we begin our groups again in September. We will be meeting on Sundays beginning on July 19th during the Bible class hour in one of the classrooms.
Shower for Katie Newkirk and Her Baby Boy
On Sunday, July 26th at 3 p.m. we will have a baby shower for Katie Newkirk and her baby boy-to-be, whose name will be Preston. Katie is registered at Babies R Us. We won’t have a meal, just cake and fun! Please come join us. If you’d like to contribute to a group gift, please see Linda Ours. Please let the office know if you will need child care.
Vacation Bible School
VBS will be on Saturday, July 25th from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will have a western theme for “Children After God’s Own Heart.” We will need volunteers to help decorate for this event on Friday, July 24th. Also, if you can assist during VBS with minor things such as serving lunch and guiding kids between classes from one area to the next, etc. please sign up on the bulletin board or contact Christina Perricone.
Western Items Needed
We are looking for any western items for decorating or things the kids can use to “dress up” with or pose for “old-timey” pictures. If you can provide anything, please contact Christina Perricone.
Baby Shower and Brunch for Beth Coffman
There will be a baby shower and brunch for Beth Coffman on Saturday, August 1st, at 10:30 a.m. Please bring a brunch dish to share and join us as we honor Beth & Josh and their baby-to -be! Please let the office know if you will need child care.
50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration
We are all invited to share in the celebration of Terry & Sandra McCurry’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. It will be on Saturday, August 8th, from 2 until 5 at our church building.
