REMINDER! Football Uniform THUNDER 00 Vs CUBS 19 Sizing: Keep pushing! I was a very proud coach on Sunday. Not with the score or the outcome of the game, I
was very proud that our kids kept playing their best the entire game. On the very first play PV returned the opening kick off, something that is usually demoralizing to a team. However, our team kept their heads up and kept playing their hearts out. We were in another defensive struggle this week only letting up two more touchdowns after the kick return. Christian Varakins played solid at defensive end helping against PV's speed on the outside. Our offense struggled to move the ball, they have a lot of new football players who are just a couple steps away from all clicking together and when it does we are going to be a threat with the ball in our hands. Late in the game Jayen Andrews Mackenzie was able to scoot away for a couple nice runs. We have a lot to build off of and I'm very excited to see what next week brings. Well this is certainly notSizing: the way we wanted to start the season however like the saying goes, Rome was not built over night. What makes football so special is that every game is a roller coaster of momentum and you never know what play it is that will swing the momentum to your side. Unfortunately, with that roller coaster of momentum comes its adversary, adversity. Our guys faced a lot of adversity during Sunday’s game. Plays not going our way, missed assignments, and missed opportunities to capitalize on PV’s mistakes. However despite this, our kids never quit and fought to the end. That I am extremely proud of and is something we can build off of moving forward. We have to learn how to lose first, in order to learn how to win. Our kids realize now that winning a football game does not come with a snap of a finger. Rather, it comes with consistent hard work day in and day out in practice. Nothing will be given to us. We will focus on not just working hard, but CONSISTENTLY working hard. Like I said last week, we will respond and we will continue to bounce back! WE WILL EARN IT!
130’s Game Results THUNDER 36 Vs CUBS 00 The definition of believe: trust, faith, or confidence in someone or even one’s self. At the start of the season, I asked ever player to take a look at mirror and believe in the person they see in the mirror. Once you believe in yourself and are confident with yourself, then trust your team mates as they too believe in themselves and the team. Our Sunday performance is what happens when Varsity scores many times in 36-00 final score. you believe. When you believe in the offensive line and our O- line was solid but, it also takes a strong defensive of line, as the trenches are where the games are won. You don’t hear allot of praise about the line play during games but, ours really outperformed expectations. Outstanding job linemen!!! You don’t get solid line play without some very special coaching, and we are lucky to have one of the best, at least one of the best in the 16 years I have been coaching. Coach Mike Coyle, who has done an outstanding job teaching the boys the fundamentals of what it takes to be a superior lineman, thanks Mike!
We played together as a team, with many players, playing new positions from what they are used to playing. Everyone stepped up, everyone contributed and it lead to a true team victory. I am extremely proud of our boys, they work hard at practice and in turn all that hard work will breed success on Sundays. We need to get ready for what could be another close game down at East Stroudsburg South. I am confident in our team to put in the hard work and our continued success.
