Well done everyone – so far we have raised £962 towards Children in Need!!!!!!!!!! But it’s not too late to get the total to £1000. Spot the Pudsey competition does not close until the end of lunchtime Monday.

It costs £1 to enter and everyone has a chance of winning the Pudsey bear, your name will go into the hat for each Pudsey you found (so if you found 10 your name will go in 10 times). So keep searching and enter on Monday ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

School Production AUDITIONS for BUGSY MALONE will take place on Tuesday 28th November further details on page 2. If you want to audition you MUST attend a session at lunchtime AS WELL AS the afterschool session. Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal: 75 Boxes have been collected today, if any have been left at hom e can be brought in on Monday. Thank you to all students, families and staff for their wonderful response! PTA News: The PTA will be serving tea and coffee at the Year 10 parent Consultation Evening on Monday.

The next PTA event is Bingo - Friday 24th November.

Tickets available from the school office or committee Members, £5.00 Entry & bingo cards or £10.00 Entry, bingo cards & hot food provided by The Highwayman Pub. Some food will also be available on the night but to ensure you get some please pre book by getting a food ticket. Year 11 GCSE MOCKS English Literature Revision To support students in the lead up to the mocks, the English Department will be running a series of poetry revision sessions on the following dates.

Students have also been emailed some guidance on how and what to revise for their English Literature Paper 2 exam. Revision for Curious Incident will take place during lessons in the week before the mocks. All students have been told to revise the following areas for the literature mock. We have narrowed the focus of their revision to ensure they revise in more depth. Curious Incident – Christopher and Family Poems to revise – When We Two Parted/ Winter Swans/ Neutral Tones/ Porphyria’s Lover/The Farmer’s Bride English Language Revision This w ill take place in Monday’s English Language lessons and students will be set revision tasks and practice questions as homework.
