Offering Envelopes The 2017 offering envelopes have arrived. As in previous years, if you had envelopes in 2016, you will automatically receive 2017 envelopes, unless you didn’t use them in 2016. If you are not using offering envelopes and would like to do so, please indicate that on the purple sheet in your bulletin. If you do not use offering envelopes, the church is not required to keep record of your giving unless it is a one-time gift of $250 or greater. (IRS Publication 1771)
We will have a Carry-In Meal and Business Meeting on Sunday, January 22 following the service. For the meal, every family should bring a main dish. Those with a last name beginning with: A-K can also bring a side dish or salad, and L-Z can also bring a dessert. The Truth Project On Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm the adult class is working through The Truth Project released by Focus on the Family. See our website (palmyragrace.org) for more information. Men’s Bible Study We are reading and discussing The Measure of a Man by Gene Getz. Come join us on Mondays at 7:00 pm. Forever Friends We begin our next quarter tomorrow night, January 16, at 6:30 pm. Our theme for this quarter is “Jesus Cares.” Come out and help with this incredible ministry to those with intellectual disabilities. Additional information is available on our slat walls.
Ladies Bible Study We will begin a six-week study starting January 17 at 9:30 am at the church. The topic will be “You have been given eternal life.” Come for fellowship, Bible study and prayer. Ladies Retreat We will have a Ladies Retreat the weekend of February 24-26. Our speaker will be Julie Godwin. Our topic will be “The gift left unopened.” Julie has a Facebook page if you want to know anything about her. More details about the place/time will be coming soon. Are you interested in planning events or have ideas for the women’s ministry? If so, please contact Dolly Martin or the church office.
Dodgeball Tournament – Tonight from 6:00 – 11:00 pm Rap artist Milan Credle (We The People) will perform at halftime. Prizes will be awarded for the top two teams, the best team theme, and the “best of the worst” team. Subs, snacks, and Mt. Dew will be provided along with many other non-dodgeball games and challenges. If you are not playing, come and cheer on your favorite team. There is a $5/person entry fee. See Pastor Mac to sign up your team. Invite your friends! Permission slips are available on the youth slat wall. Father-Son Challenge – January 27 at 7:00 pm We are hosting the father-son challenge for sons 5th grade and younger. Some of the challenges will be: 2-on-2 gaga, battle cars, nerf war, and eating challenges. Bring your “A” game, a snack to share, and money for pizza. Register with Pastor Mac. Grace Groups Grace Groups provides you with the opportunity to “do life together” with a small group because real life change happens in the context of relationships. We will be starting a new session of Grace Groups this weekend. We will be doing a six-week study in the First Principles of the Faith series.
