Welsh Schedule Horse of the Year 2017 Tuesday 7th March, 8.30am, Ring One

In Hand Welsh Pony & Cob Pure Bred & Part Bred Section Conditions of Entry:

1. All Exhibits Must be Fully Registered in the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of New Zealand Purebred Stud Book or the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of New Zealand Part Bred Register. Copy of Registration to be sent to - T Macnab 153 Waimai Valley RD RD2 Ngaruawahia 3794 and carried and sighted on the day. 2. All Stallions must be Stallion Registered. All entires regardless of age must have a, S, stallion badge fixed to the bridle both sides, to be shown in a bit & to be handled by a person over 16yrs. Handlers to wear S stallion Bibs when outside the ring. 3. No Height limit in the Part Bred Classes 4. All entries are to be via the Equestrian Entries website. If not current members of ESNZ, Community Membership is required and can be done easily by going to www.nzequestrian.org.nz 5. The General conditions of Entries as per HOY must be abided by. 6. Exhibits in Ridden Classes must also be entered in the In Hand Title classes. Open Ridden classes, the rider can be any age. No Stallions to be ridden.

7. Ridden Exhibits can compete in Open Welsh / Welsh Lead Rein / Welsh First Ridden Classes as long as they have different riders and are eligible to compete. 8. LEAD REIN Riders 4 to 7 years inclusive 9. Lead Rein Rider can compete in this section with no penalty. They can also compete in the showing section lead rein Pony of the Year/ Lead Rein Rider of the Year if they have met all qualifying conditions as in the Rules and Conditions of entry in the Showing section. LEAD REIN RIDERS CANNOT COMPETE IN ANY OTHER SECTION AT HOY OTHER THAN LEAD REIN SECTION IN THE SHOWING. 10. All Lead Rein Ponies to be 128cm & under and to be led by an Adult with Leading rein attached to noseband of snaffle bridle. 11. No Spurs to be worn in Lead Rein or First Ridden. 12. Whips with a flapper 4cm long and 2cm wide with total length 68cm long or small cane may be carried. 13. First Ridden Riders 9 Years and under. 14. First Ridden Rider can compete in this section with no penalty. They can also compete in the showing section First Ridden Pony of the Year/ First Ridden Rider of the Year if they have met all qualifying condition as in the Rules and Conditions of entry in the Showing section. FIRST RIDDEN RIDERS CANNOT COMPETE IN ANY OTHER SECTION AT HOY OTHER THAN FIRST RIDDEN SECTION IN THE SHOWING. 15. All First Ridden Exhibits to be 138cm & under snaffles bits only. 16. Pure bred are not to be plaited and will not be penalized if manes are pulled. 17. Number Holders are compulsory. 18. The Judges Decision is Final.

Ridden Section All Exhibits in Ridden Classes must also be entered in the In Hand Title classes. Ridden Exhibits can compete in Open Welsh /Welsh Lead Rein /Welsh First Ridden Classes as long as they have different riders and are eligible to compete.
