Opportunities at New Cov MOPS Babysitting Fundraiser Are you and your spouse in need of a Date Night? Or maybe you’re a single Mom ready for a ladies night out but need a sitter for the kids? MOPS Moms are offering childcare Saturday June 28 from 5-9:00pm with check-in starting at 5:00pm in Discoveryland. We’ll have crafts, activities and snacks for the kids! A suggested donation of $10/child will help MOPS provide ministry and Bible study to Moms at New Cov. Please visit the table in the Gathering Space to sign up today or email [email protected]. Part Time Custodian Wanted. New Covenant is seeking a woman or man for a part time (15-25 hours per week) paid custodial position. This position requires that you be a regular attendee of New Covenant Community Church and be able to work a flexible schedule (evening, weekend & holiday hours will be required). Interested attendees can pick up a job description and employment application at the church office. All applications need to be returned to New Covenant by July 1. Sports N More starts just 1 week from today!! June 22-26 If you haven’t already, be sure to register your 1st though 5th grader (as of fall 2014) for Sports N More! Either downstairs in Discoveryland or at www.newcovchurch.org/sportsnmore. It will be the best $16/camper you spend today! Each night from 6-8:30pm, campers will enjoy focusing on an event of their choice: Soccer, Flag Football, Cheerleading,Art, and new this year, Science Discovery Lab or Drama.They will also participate in both large and small group times that get them energized and learning about God and their faith in a new way.There is also a bonus game each night of camp! A family dinner is served each night of camp, from 5-5:45pm to make this event even easier for families to attend! (Donations are requested to help cover the cost of the meals.) This is a great opportunity not only for our students, but for our community. Invite a friend and register today! Family Sunday Worship Services June 22 and July 27 We are very excited to be planning two services where our 5 year and older children will be joining us to worship. These two services will be interactive and children will be encouraged to participate in the worship. Please plan on attending together as a family. Yoga Class: June 17 Yoga with Maranda is still going on this summer, June 17 (July dates will be announced). We gather in Discoveryland on selected Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. SOS OPPORTUNITIES You can be part of the all-volunteer ministry of Royal Family KIDS Camp, which provides positive memories and shares God’s love with children who have been victims of child abuse and neglect. • High Need: Serve as a camp counselor or staff from the evening of Sunday, July 20-Friday, July 25. Visit the table in the gathering space for information and application. Training provided. • Come to camp for a few hours to help with special events such as; a beach party Monday night, spa day for the girls and archery for the boys Wednesday, or decorate for the Wednesday night birthday party. • Assist with camper registration at New Covenant the morning of July 21. • Bring salads or help set up and serve a dinner for the returning counselors and staff at New Covenant on July 25. • Make a financial donation. The campers are in the foster care system and are charged only a $10 registration fee to attend. The actual cost of the week of camp, however, is more than $500 per child.
