Year 3 Visit to Torre Abbey - Wednesday 2nd November Dear Parent/Carer, To support our learning this term we have arranged a trip to Torre Abbey in Torquay. The children will learn about the Spanish Armada and the history of the local Cary family. The coach will be leaving White Rock at 9.15am so please make sure that your child arrives in school promptly in time for registration. We will arrive back in time for the end of the school day, traffic permitting. Children must wear school uniform but can wear comfortable shoes. They need to bring a snack, a packed lunch (if your child is entitled to free school meals they will be provided with a packed lunch from school) a drink and a waterproof coat. Please ensure that these items are all in a backpack as children will be carrying these around with them throughout the day. The cost of this visit is £5.50, this cost will go towards the cost of the coach, and entrance to the abbey. Please log onto school money www.schoolmoney.co.uk to pay your voluntary contribution and to give your permission for your child to take part on this trip. This trip can only take place if sufficient voluntary contributions are received. If you are in receipt of benefit based free school meals then your contribution is reduced by 50%, if you would like to check to see if you are entitled to this reduction or are experiencing problems logging onto school money please email Paula French on [email protected] We always welcome helpers; if you are able to help please let your child’s class teacher know.
