Although the great m ajority o f climb­ ing was done on weekends at D evils Lake, W isconsin, and at the M is­ sissippi Palisades in Illinois, several groups managed to range farther afield. In the spring one of our members joined an expedition to the Fairweather Range and participated in first ascents of M ount Quincy Adams and Mount Lituya. In the summer other groups climbed in the Fremont Peak area of the W ind Rivers, in the northern Cascades, and on Devils Tower.S
