April 30th is Opening Day at Woodland BMX! This season is full of new and exciting things at Woodland BMX! As some of you have seen we have paved our starting hill, lengthened our first straight, widen the first turn. We are also clearing the area along side of the first straight for increased viewing area!

Woodland Parent Organization (WPO) 2016 BMX Season The new year BMX season brings a new group operating Woodland BMX track in West Greenwich, RI. Our local track is now a 501(c)3 non-profit organization! What does that mean? It means we are an ALL VOLUNTEER run organization which is reliant on its members, supporters, sponsors, and community for its success. It means now more than ever your help is needed to not only maintain this track but improve it as well!
WRISTBANDS ARE REQUIRED! Make sure you remove the previous band and have today’s color attached to the handlebars by your brake cable. You will NOT be allowed on the track without it!
We will continue with our regular Wednesday night gate practices from 4:30-7pm and we will add additional practices when possible. Racing will be Saturday mornings with practice and registration from 10-11am, racing to follow as soon as possible.

We are fortunate to have many new sponsors this year but it doesn’t stop there. We will be continually looking for sponsorship, donations, and assistance for track improvements. You’ve already seen some track work…more is on the way!
Please make sure your membership is up-todate and bring your USA BMX card to practice and race days. Practices are $5, Single point racing is $10. We have several double point races throughout the season as well. Facebook is our primary communication tool as well as email.The best way to stay informed is to make sure we have your current email address to notify you of events.
