After an extended period of non-use, the movement must be set in motion by winding the crown clockwise in its normal position.
Setting the Time:
To set the time, pull the Winding Crown (7) out into position -2- and turn it counterclockwise (CCW). Keep turing the Winding Crown until the hands pass midnight and the day/date display advances. Then continue to turn the Winding Crown until you set the correct time. This will assure a correct setting of your watch in relation to AM/PM. A second time zone can be selected by means of the GMT/24-Hour Hand (6) which completes one revolution in 24-hours.
Setting the Date and 24-Hour Hand:
PLEASE BE ADVISED: engaging the Day/Date function when the Hour Hand is between 8pm - 2am can cause serious damage to the calendar gears of the internal movement and such damage is not covered under warranty.
To change the Date, pull the Winding Crown (7) out into position -1- and turn it counter-clockwise (CCW). To change the 24-Hour Hand (6), turn the Winding Crown clockwise (CW) and rotate the hand until you have reached your desired time indication. 1 Hour Hand 2 Minute Hand 3 Second Hand 4 Date Indicator 5 World Timer Indicator Ring 6 GMT/24-Hour Hand

Rotatable Inner Ring for World Time:
Display of local time (for instance Tokyo 9.00 hrs) by means of an Hour Hand (1) and Minute Hand (2). A second time zone (e.g. Bangkok 7.00 hrs) can be selected by means of an additional hand (6), which completes a revolution in 24 hours. A rotatable World Time Ring (5) which is set to the 24-Hour Hand (6), makes it possible to read the time of any other time zone (e.g. London 24.00 hrs or New York 19.00 hrs). The letter -S- on the World Timer Ring (5) indicates ‘Summer Time’ or ‘Daylight Savings Time’ for those cities that observe it. Refer to the time under the -S- next to the city you are observing. (e.g., London 23 hrs or New York 18 hrs)
