YEA! Northshore needs dynamic business leaders, community members and organizations as mentors, guest speakers and support. (JUNE 5, 2015 | MANDEVILLE, LA) Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) Northshore is coming this fall to all West St. Tammany schools. This is a groundbreaking and exciting year-long class that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Throughout the class, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of investors, and actually launch and run their own real, legal, fully-formed companies and social movements. This fun, projects-based approach empowers students to take charge of their futures in a profound way. To fulfill its mission of teaching more students how to make a job, not just take a job, YEA! Northshore needs dynamic, local business leaders, community members and organizations to serve as mentors, guest speakers and to support its plans to take the kids on exciting behind-thescenes trips to local businesses. If you or your company, are interested in sharing your knowledge and excitement with the youth of today, contact the NCF by July 3, 2015. YEA! Northshore is an excellent instrument to unify the business and educational communities in our area and classes begin November 2, 2015. YEA! Northshore is a collaboration of the Northshore Community Foundation, Shelby P. LaSalle, Jr. Consulting, Southeastern Louisiana University and the St. Tammany Parish School System working together to launch this exciting endeavor while driving the spirit of entrepreneurship in our local youth. Founded in 2004, the Young Entrepreneurs Academy today serves thousands of students across America, celebrating the spirit of enterprise among today’s youth and tomorrow’s future leaders. If you would like more information on becoming a mentor, or on the program itself, visit the Northshore Community Foundation’s website at www.northshorefoundation.org.
