The pupils in Y6 are set for maths and the work is planned to meet the needs of the group. This is particularly the case in number work.
Design and Technology – cross stitch designs.
Some of the work covered in oral maths this half term will include Adding and subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers.
Computing – Multimedia presentation using Powerpoint; using the internet. R.E. – Christmas story – comparison of versions; festivals of other religions. LITERACY: Some of the work covered in Literacy this half term will include
Doubling numbers. Pairs of numbers totalling 100 – 1000. Number sequences. Multiplication/ Division facts (tables) Some of the work covered in topic maths this half term will include Decimals, fractions and percentages. Coordinates, graph work.
Journalistic writing including biased and unbiased reports.
Metric measurement conversions.
Explanation texts.
2D shapes, tangrams.
Complex sentences.
Angles.
Comprehension using fiction and non-fiction texts.
