You can now make a tax-deductible donation to a special endowment fund that supports only the AAA Internship Program. It is our hope that through this endowment AAA can continue to support the future of the field and expand this program in years to come. The objective of this program is to provide anthropology students with the opportunity to work with the staff of AAA and other agencies within the DC Metropolitan Area on projects that are aligned with their areas of interest within anthropology. The internship will be based within AAA offices and include an outreach component with a participating governmental office, local university, or other allied organization. Target groups are: anthropology majors either in their undergrad junior or senior year and graduate students. You can also make a donation to any of our programs as a gift “in honor” or “in memory” of someone. AAA Unrestricted Fund – use where most needed. General AAA Endowment Fund: Our endowment fund is the key to our future. Your gift ensures that the AAA will be able to advance the discipline of anthropology by broadening our programs and services. Public Education Outreach: Building upon the success of Race: Are We So Different? we are expanding our outreach to include public education programs and activities about migration, displacement, and human population movements to help people better understand their own migration histories and those of others. Contributions will be used to support planning and development of a traveling museum exhibition, as well as public programming and events such as book readings, town halls, and an ethnographic film festival.
