What is the Kansas Chapter? We are over 180 members strong in representing banks, financial institutions and professional organizations dedicated to risk management in the Wichita area.
What does our Chapter do? As one of over 120 active RMA Chapters, the RMA Kansas Chapter plays an active role in fulfilling the mission. Through our area general meetings and educational events we enrich financial services professionals and our region’s banking community. It’s an important undertaking that is led and implemented by loyal volunteers from area institutions -- bringing RMA to you in your local market area.

The Risk Management Association (RMA) promotes an enterprise approach to risk management that focuses on credit risk, market risk, operational risk, securities lending, and regulatory issues. Founded in 1914, RMA was originally called the Robert Morris Associates, named after American patriot Robert Morris, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Morris, the principal financier of the Revolutionary War, helped establish our country's banking system.

Today, RMA has approximately 2,500 institutional members and 16,000 individuals, known as RMA Associates located throughout North America and financial centers in Europe, Australia and Asia. To assist members in advancing sound risk principles, RMA keeps members informed and provides access to industry information through its website (www.rmahq.org); publishes The RMA Journal and a variety of newsletters, books, and statistics; conducts workshops and seminars; holds several conferences, and annual convention (Annual Risk Management Conference); and has numerous committees working on a variety of projects.
