Welcome to the Carpinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce Planning your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony A Ribbon Cutting event is an effective way to introduce your business to the community and your fellow Chamber members. Your event can be as simple and informal, or as extravagant and ceremonious as you prefer it to be. It's your event and should reflect your company's values, personality, and desired image while providing maximum visibility. Your successful event will require advanced planning. The checklist below is an invaluable tool that will assist you in covering important points that could otherwise be overlooked at this exciting time. Please utilize your greatest resource– your network of fellow Chamber Members and local businesses! It is necessarily essential that you complete the form below and notify the Chamber office at least 3 weeks in advance of the day of your requested ribbon-cutting ceremony. This time is essential for our Chamber staff to make your event a fabulous success! EVENT CHECKLIST: Contact the chamber office and return the form below at least 3 weeks in advance Send invitations to VIP's, new business neighbors, friends, family & the community Provide background information and 50-75 word description including product/services that you specialize in, why you chose the location, etc. **The Chamber will provide a photographer & include photo’s on Social Media, Chamber Newsletter, and create Press Release for local media distribution. Provide refreshments Order business cards and SWAG to distribute, as well as any items for prizes or raffles Provide chamber with representative name presenting business overview at ceremony
