Everyday Champions: SportUp As part of the Everyday Champions program, Oregon State launched SportUp, college athletics’ first start up incubator, during the 201516 academic year. With the help of the program, former student-athlete Maureen Tremblay has launched her own business – Revive, an app that tracks workouts for elite athletes to prevent injury. Initiated in 2011, Beavers without Borders is a program that offers global service-learning experiences for student-athletes at Oregon State University. The program has successfully completed six service projects including trips to Guatemala, Macedonia, Ethiopia, and most recently the Dominican Republic. Throughout those trips, over 75 student-athletes were able to experience life in a distinct culture, learn about the impact of their work on a community and interact outside of the university context to maximize the intercultural experience.
