SACRAMENTO ALUMNAE CHAPTER

SEPTEMBER 2017

Lauri Balbi Our sister Lauri just left for an extended mission trip to Malawi to open a new school! Her service began with a trip to Thailand in 2002, and since then she has been to Mexico 11 times, Romania twice, Haiti, and Russia! Talk about thinking in terms of all mankind and service to the world! Lauri, we will be thinking about you in your travels!

September Event: Kickoff! Tuesday the 19th at 6:30pm, 9843 Wesbourne Lane in Granite Bay Though we have been meeting all summer, our "Breakfast at ZTA" kickoff is still considered the official start of our year! Please come reconnect with us as we catch up after the summer and celebrate the beginning of fall! Make sure that you bring mini toiletries for donation and, if you are an officer, a brunchy dish to share with the group. Please RSVP on the Facebook event or by contacting Jordan at 843-251-4126 so that we can get an accurate count for food. Can't wait to see you all!

Creed Highlight Our new year has begun! There is something about fall that I just love - after all the excitement of summer, we get the opportunity to just kind of hunker down and return to normalcy. I have LOVED keeping up with all of your adventures over the summer, but I have to say I am even more excited about coming together again as a group! In order to do that, you HAVE to register as a member with us! Please go sign up so that you can participate in all the fun things we are doing this year! Part of registering, of course, is paying your dues. I know that's not the most fun thing, but I'd encourage you to read over the last line of the creed, our theme for this month. Think of your $45 dues (or $25 for Crown Zetas) not just as a payment, but as an investment in the love that you have for your sisters and for Zeta Tau Alpha. Instructions on how to register and pay can be found in the body of the September email, on Facebook, or on our website. As an added bonus, everyone who registers and pays before the kickoff event will be entered into a drawing for a gift card of choice!

"Remembering always that the foundation precept of Zeta Tau Alpha was love, the greatest of all things." to do a donation collection. It will be different every time so that we can spread our influence throughout our community, and this month we are collecting mini toiletries to support a couple of local charities. Bring as many as you can to our kickoff event, and I will have a prize for the person with the greatest donation! Thank you ladies for your loving hearts, and I can't wait to see you all on the 19th! ZLAM, Jordan

Another thing we do out of love is give back, and it's in that spirit that we've begun a new service initiative this year. Every time we have a home event, we are going
