Winter Menus start
First week back will be WEEK 1
Remember we are on half term break next week Year six have had a great time at Hollowford! The Year six children were great ambassadors for the school. They faced up to some real challenges and developed a team spirit over the two nights away. Highlights included “The Leap of Faith,” Rafting, with various degrees of success but some inventive ideas and Rock Weaselling in the rain and the great outdoors. .
Dates for your diary Attached are some key dates for the rest of the year A reminder that the Scholastic book fair will arrive on Friday 4th November. It will be open on the 4th, 7th and 8th after school in the hall. Come along and browse and buy some of the fantastic titles on offer. School Photographs These will be taken on Thursday 3rd November in the morning. If you would like a family photo including siblings not at this school then please arrive no later than 8:30am.
Harvest Thank you to all who donated items to the Doncaster Food Bank. We talked a little about the work they do as well as well as other more global issues around food. Thanks to Brooke, Olivia and Belle for their thoughtful contributions to assemblies this week https://doncaster.foodbank.org.uk/

Some parents have asked about how we teach Guided Reading. Your child will now be reading one book over a number of The Drive weeks so that they get a deeper understanding of the texts.

Whole School and Class Rewards Each class has its own reward system but every class will be using the Dojo Reward System which we will be re-launching next half term. Other rewards include “Instant” prizes for good work, behaviour or attitude. Each week we have our Celebration Assembly when we give our Ambassador certificates and also the Cake to share with your family. This is given to someone who is always doing the right thing, working hard and being positive.
