Y6 Transition days to Hunger Hill st nd rd Our children will visit Hunger Hill secondary school on 21 , 22 and 23 June. These will be full day sessions in the school and will be invaluable for our children. They will get a real chance to find their way about and get a feel for the school as a whole. More details to follow soon. The staff from Hungerhill will also visit our children in the next week to deliver additional computing and science taster sessions. Y6 Hollowford Residential We are looking forward to taking our children to the Hollowford Centre at Castleton. Please return the medical slips and contact details as soon as possible. If you have any further questions please get in touch. FS2 visit to Butterfly Park th This will take place on Monday 13 June 2016. Year 2 Unfortunately Mr Davies is off sick at the moment. Next week Year 2 will be taught by Ms Tembey. We hope that Mr Davies will be back soon and will keep you informed. Before School We have had a few incidents before school recently. Please can I remind you that the safety and behaviour of children in the playground is parent’s responsibility. Doors open at 8.40am for children to come into school. AUTHORISING ABSENCE The school would like to authorise all absences. This can only be done if we receive information from parents explaining clearly the reason for absence. It is vital, therefore, that parents contact school every time PUPILS are absent from school for any reason. If no explanation for absence is received the absence will be recorded as unauthorised; in some circumstances this may be regarded as truancy and legal action follow.
