Sophomore Tyler Lemke led the Eagles in scoring in a pair of defeats at the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. in their final two games of 2016. The Eagles dropped a close one to Clark (Mass.), 75-71, despite a career-high 22 points from Lemke and lost their final game, 70-48, to Ursinus (Pa.). Despite shooting over 50 percent with an offense that featured four double-digit scorers, the Eagles were held without a field goal for the final four-and-a-half minutes in a 75-71 loss to Clark University (Mass.). Lemke scored 22 points in on 8-of-12 shooting and sophomore Kyle Geiger added 12 points off the bench in his second career game as the Eagles (2-8) knocked down 11 three-pointers and shot 23 of 45 from the field (51.1 percent), their second-highest percentage this season. Held to a season-low 29.8 percent from the field, the Eagles dropped their Land of Magic Classic finale, 70-48, to Ursinus College (Pa.). Sophomores McClain Steffens and Lemke each posted 12 points while combining to score half of the team’s total on a day where the Eagle offense struggled to get going. The Eagles (2-8) shot just 23.3 percent in the first half en route to a 35-21 deficit and over the course of the game, committed 13 turnovers to five assists and shot 2 of 19 from 3-point land.
