Editing the PowerPoint flyer template: Directions for PC users Open the PowerPoint file that corresponds with the activity you will be making a flyer for. Change the placeholder information to reflect the new activity.
Click on the text box that holds the age range and change them to the correct ages. Click on the text box that indicates the activity name and replace with the correct activity.
Click on the text box next to “details” and type in the program format and length. (For Start Smart programs, specify if it is the general program or a sports-specific program.) Click on the text boxes next to “registration dates” and “start date” and type in the correct dates. Click on the text box that holds contact information and change that accordingly.
To change the activity photo in the background, go to the “View” menu, then select the “Slide Master” option listed in the header.

In the initial “Insert Pictures” dialog box, select the first option, “From a file.”
Editing the PowerPoint flyer template: Directions for PC users In the next dialog box that appears, locate the activity photo library folder on your computer and select a black and white photo of the new activity. Click “Insert” to place it into the template, replacing the current photo.
After changing the photo, click the “Close Master” button to lock the image in place.
Editing the PowerPoint flyer template: Directions for PC users Once you have finished editing your flyer, you can save it to your computer as a PDF or print it directly from PowerPoint. To save your flyer as a PDF, go to the “File” menu and select “Save As.”
In the “Save As” dialog box, select a location on your computer to save your file. Type a new name for your flyer in the “Save As” text box.

Before saving, make sure that the “Standard (publishing online and printing)” button is selected. Then click “Save.”

From the options under “Settings,” select “Full Page Slides” and then click “Print.” Note: Before printing, be sure to review the flyer to double-check your work. Then, print a sample in gray scale to see if the spacing between the numbers and letters is correct before printing numerous full-color flyers.
