President Report Board Positions : Need to recruit for new board member. Still need to fill some positions: Newsletter Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator and Vice President VAA Merger : Conversation ongoing. EVAA/VAA meeting with athletic directors from Eastview and Apple Valley. Lakeville does not have an athletic board, just sports boardsmultilayered approach. Next stepcommittees from EVAA and VAA to meet. PCA: Email discussion45 people at first event. Great first step. It's all about improving the culture around sports. Saturday morning, May 30thtentative next event for PCA. Positive coaching and play is the focus. Program Updates InHouse Baseball: Over 400 participants. (Taking some from VAA). Starting at pilot program with "At Bat" 1st grade team (Team 3). One practice a week with "At Bat" program. Trying to infuse life into baseball. (MLB affiliation) 360 feedback. Advocate skills and baseball culture. Combining 4th and 5th grade teamsplay against other local towns (4 teams). Good feedback from parents. Traveling Baseball: No Update. InHouse Basketball: No gym time Budget this fall. Traveling Basketball: 5 new board members. Surveys had good feedback. Summer open gym. AllStar sponsorship (3 players) New uniforms. Cross Country: Submitted registration. Starts in May. Nordic Skiing: Budget in May InHouse Football: Had a couple board meetings. InHouse may partner with VAA. Define common rules. Traveling Football: Farmington is joining 7th grade SSYFL program this year. 8th grade starts in 2016. 8 associations now in SSYFL Lacrosse: Practice started (Dome) Numbers are down this spring. Some field practices have started also. Southern Metro league may be formed south of the river. Goalie clinicsgreat feedback. New treasurer. InHouse Soccer: Jamboree starts on Sunday. Crown (bag tag fundraiser $2)Partnering with Revtournament jerseysgreat quality. Numbers up: 720, up 100 from last year. 122 in PreK. 100 for kindergarten, 12 boys94, 34 boys 111, 58Coed 114 18 for high school programMoeller (practice and play) Dakota REV: Player pass, jersey and teams. Signing up for tournaments. InHouse Softball: Starting soon Traveling Softball: Starting up. Tournaments in May Tennis: Registration up. Email blast went out 4/20. Track & Field: 170 people out for track. Great weather. 1st meet was Friday. Volleyball: Spring inhouse underway. 5 teams. Tournaments this weekend. Present budget next month.
