appy New Year to all! January, 2010 brings the beginning of a new decade and a time for New Year’s resolutions. I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays, spent time with friends, family, and indulged in good food and holiday cheer.
We may be in the midst of winter but we don’t have to wait until spring and the start of leagues to get together with our EWGA friends. There are social events and an educational event planned to give us the opportunity to meet and enjoy one another’s company.
Also, mark your calendars for our annual kickoff which will take place at NCR Country Club on Sunday, April 11. Please read the newsletter and visit our website at www.egwadayton.com

I-70 Challenge Returns New Location Mark your calendars for August 7, 11AM, for our challenge with the Columbus EWGA. This year the event will be held at Locust Hills Golf Course in Springfield. Thank you to all who sent me input after last year’s event. I looked at all of it, checked other courses and ended up booking Locust Hills with their superb attention to detail and fantastic food!

I’m looking for a co-chair representing our Dayton Chapter. I have all the notes from last year and I’ll be the other “co-“, so give me a call at 427-1756. Let’s have fun and, darn, let’s figure out a way Dayton can bring home that Orange Barrel trophy!! ………..Karen Wolf
Our Chapter Continues to Grow and Change With 2009 behind us, we can reflect on what a good year our EWGA Dayton Chapter had, and make plans for a great 2010! While the economy was tough, and we had a lot of job losses and changes, our golf activities continued to prosper. And that is largely due to the many new members who joined in 2009, are playing golf with us, bringing in new ideas for fun and helping us to continue to grow. We’re Throw’n Strikes in January! The January social event is a bowling competition at Poelking Lanes on Woodman Dr, located just south of Dorothy Lane. Form Teams of 4 or come as an individual and we will place you on a team. Prize given to the team with the highest 2 game team score. Games are $2.25 per person. Shoe rental is $2.00. Beer and pizza are available for purchase. Friday January 22, 6:30p RSVP to [email protected] by Monday 1/18.
