From the President…………..
I
want to send a special thank you to our Education CoChairs, Roxy Laycox and Becky McCaughey, and their committee members who organized a very fun and informative “Jeopartee” game to test the contestants’ skills on the rules of golf. They put in a lot of time and energy to create the game. It was a clever format that challenged the teams to come up with answers as to what to do when the ball goes off in the

Membership Renewals
A
s we’ve seen in the past, our Chapter Kickoff event seems to be the place to renew our memberships. This likely stems from years past when all members were due to renew in March. Now, with monthly renewals, we are working to change that culture and expectations regarding renewals.
P
rior to the time of our Kickoff, we plan to have renewal notices (via both mail and email) sent to members that are due each month. We encourage you to renew online or directly with EWGA HQ (preferably before your expiration date) so that you can focus on fun, sign up for leagues, and meet and greet the new members in attendance at our Kickoff!

You might want to mention that Linda ran over her sister's foot w/the golf cart and then instead of backing up she "rocked" the cart on my foot a couple more times. OUCH!! She is sooo competitive and I think I was beating her that day. HA!

Did you know that if you are playing your ball from the tee box at any time you are allowed to press the grass down behind the ball? The folks at the EWGA Rules Clinic know. Congratulations to the group of Karen Wolf, Margie Bunch and Elaine Hagood who amassed 46,000 points in the Finals to surpass all others to win in the first EWGA Jeo”par” “tee”. Despite the blizzard going on outside, the atmosphere was hot and heated inside as everyone got warmed up for the upcoming golf season! Everyone learned something new and most were surprised at just how much they already knew. A great time was had by one and all.
ON THE TEE This month on the tee is returning member Kathy Garrison. Tee: How and when did you get started in EWGA?
Tee: Describe a distinctive memory Tee: What does your household of an experience you’ve had in EWGA.

Looking forward to the end of this long winter? Mark Sunday, April 11 at 12:30 on your calendar to Burst Into Spring at the annual EWGA Kickoff luncheon. Join us for a wonderful afternoon at NCR Country Club, where you can get together with golfing friends and sign up for leagues and events. Kickoff gives you the chance to meet our sponsors, take advantage of discounts and win door prizes. Once again we will be having a fashion show featuring our very own fashion divas (runway sensations last season) and an exciting calendar of summer golf events will be announced. Cost for the luncheon is $30.00. Bring your checkbook, since credit cards are not accepted at the Kickoff. Remember to invite new and potential members to the Kickoff. They will see firsthand what a fun group this is and all we have to offer. Don’t miss the fun. Register now on the web site at www.EWGADayton.com

about is all the women golfers out there who don't know what they are missing.
Tee: How would you encourage someone to join or a new member’s involvement
Kathy: My advice to all new members is jump in with both feet. Join a league, participate in events and social functions, and most importantly volunteer to help with some aspect of the organization's activities. There are jobs big and small for everyone. We need you and you need us!!!
