You will learn about the practical skills required by scientists working in a laboratory environment and how these relate to the study of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Year 12: Unit 1: Key Concepts In Science Unit 2: Applied Experimental Techniques Unit 3: Science In The Modern World Year 13: Unit 4: The Human Body Unit 5: Investigating Science Unit 6: Pick Two from the following options (Microbiology, Medical Physics, Organic Chemistry)
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED? Written Exams: Units 1, 3 and 4 Coursework: Units 2, 5 and 6
WHAT COULD I GO ON TO DO AT THE END OF THIS COURSE? Progression onto the Full Diploma and Extended Diploma in Applied Science or into industry recognised occupational qualifications, progression on to Higher Education programmes.
