Dear Parents/Carers, As many of you will be aware Class Dojo is now being used from Y1-Y6 as a reward system, therefore we would like to take the opportunity to inform you about how we are using this at Hartsholme Academy. Each class teacher uses Class Dojo to positively reward students for things, such as: • Being on task • Good listening • Presentation • Self belief • Working hard • Participating These can be adapted so you could find that your child is being awarded dojos for other positive reasons. Alternatively some times you may find that dojos are removed for areas that need work. For example: • Being off task • Disrespect • Talking out of turn • Not listening It is lovely for staff, students and parents to be able to celebrate daily positives together and we are extremely grateful for the support that you are already showing with this. On the rare occasion that staff feel like it is necessary for them to contact you to discuss your child’s behaviour they make that contact at the beginning or end of the school day or they will contact you for a telephone conversation.
