Nurse Medication is to be brought in only by parents or adults. Also, medication administration forms must be filled out for medication to be given.

Math Students are continuing Unit 6, Addition & Subtraction of Fractions & will work on this through Nov 22. Be sure your child is fluent in their multiplication math facts! Each Friday, beginning 28 Oct, students will have a timed multiplication facts drill that will be graded. Each drill will be averaged for one grade for the nine weeks.

Fifth Grade Newsletter

Reading Monday we will be going to the library. Make sure each student brings their books to check in or recheck each week. This week we will be starting the genre Drama. We will be discussing the different structures and elements. There will be a lot of new vocabulary, so make sure to review these with your student.

Social Studies In Social Studies we will be covering Unit 2, Life in the Colonies. We will be discussing the Thirteen Colonies and important people during this era.

Please remind your students to be reading each night for 30 minutes! It is a great way to improve skills. AR is now up and running. Let’s get those goals reached!

Electricity this week. Ms. Kolenda’s classes will have homework given today, and is due on Thursday, 11/17/2016. You can expect to start seeing this every week .

Student Council is starting to finish up their Feather the Turkey Project. The last day to send any canned goods is Friday, November 18, 2016.
