• Cool weather continues. Central and eastern Europe started out very warm but another shot of cooler air pushed in from the west. Central areas averaged close to LY but the northwest continued to lag 2014.

• A wet week south-central. A low pressure system tracked from Iberia across the mountains of southern Europe producing periods of heavy rain and localized flash flooding. A few lighter showers extended into the north from time to time. • The wet weather suppressed retail traffic for most regions, especially in central European countries

• A cool start with slow warming. Very cool temperatures will cover central and eastern Europe for much of the week. Warmer conditions will hold across Spain and Portugal early, then slowly spread into western and central Europe toward the end of the week. • Rain focus shifts north. A frontal system will track across the north from Sunday to Wednesday generating widespread showers. Rain across the Balkans and western Turkey will taper off early in the week.

• Warming into July. High pressure will build across central Europe allowing for warmer temperatures across central and southern Europe. Northern areas will stay seasonable to cool while Turkey continues to be unseasonably cool. • A drier week as well. The high pressure will cause plenty of sunshine across the continent. Frontal systems will be forced northward across the U.K. and Scandinavia while a low pressure remains stalled across Turkey. • Due to the dry and warm weather, retailers can expect increased demand for summery products like ice cream, shorts and garden furniture
